Advanced Basal Body Temperature Calculator
Track your basal body temperature (BBT) throughout your menstrual cycle to look for temperature patterns associated with ovulation. Enter measurements taken under consistent conditions, preferably immediately after waking and before getting out of bed.

How Basal Body Temperature Works
Basal body temperature is your body's resting temperature. After ovulation, the hormone progesterone generally causes a small sustained increase in resting temperature. Tracking this change over several days can help identify a possible ovulation pattern.
How to Take BBT
- Measure your temperature immediately after waking.
- Take the measurement before getting out of bed or engaging in activity.
- Try to measure at approximately the same time each morning.
- Use the same thermometer and measurement method consistently.
- Record unusual factors such as illness, poor sleep, alcohol, travel, or interrupted sleep.
Understanding the Temperature Pattern
A possible ovulation pattern is suggested when temperatures remain relatively lower before ovulation and then show a sustained rise afterward. This calculator looks for a sustained temperature shift rather than treating a single high temperature as proof of ovulation.
BBT Pattern Detection
This calculator compares recent temperatures with the preceding baseline and looks for a sustained rise. The result may identify a possible thermal shift, a possible post-ovulation pattern, or insufficient data.
